Successful Foster America fellows demonstrate skill and aptitude in the following areas:

  • Demonstrate subject-matter expertise in a relevant field, with strong managerial skillsets (e.g., budget, project planning, contract management, marketing, business process design, etc.)

Candidates must have: 

  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice, particularly for vulnerable children and families

  • Seven or more years of professional experience, including at least two years of project or people management

  • Advanced degree strongly preferred

  • Availability to work full-time for 18 months

  • Ability to be geographically based in city of placement during fellowship

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Salary requirements between $80,000 and $90,000
