Over 350 San Francisco pre-teens and teens (ages 11-17) are in foster care.
1 in 4 pre-teens and teens in care are placed in group homes, rather than family settings. The vast majority are placed outside of San Francisco or even out of state.
Studies show that a meaningful, trusting relationship with one caring adult can be the key for foster youth -- and all youth -- thrive.
Wondering how you can get involved? We need your ideas to better support San Francisco pre-teens and teens in foster care.
Foster America is proud to partner with Freedom FWD, an organization working to develop a new approach to caring for San Francisco’s pre-teens and teens in foster care. For every completed form we will donate $1 to SFCASA, an organization that provides foster youth with consistent, caring volunteer advocates who are trained to address their needs in the court and the community.
