Eddy Jones is supporting Allegheny County’s Department of Human Services as they strengthen their financial structures and data systems to increase return on investment and improve fiscal efficiency. He brings expertise developed leading in K-12 public education administration and private sector consulting to the role.

As a Foster America Fellow, Eddy supports the Department of Human Services in Allegheny County. He is engaged in various projects within the Department’s Administrative and Information Management unit. These include improvements to the Department’s financial management and information systems, aimed at maximizing resources to improve child and family safety, permanency, and wellbeing.
Prior to joining Foster America, Eddy held senior positions with Pittsburgh Public Schools. As the Director of Human Capital Systems Development, Eddy implemented systems to improve employee hiring, staffing, professional growth, evaluation, and compensation. As a Broad Resident, he was part of a team that designed and launched the Pittsburgh Promise, a large initiative which helps students plan, prepare, and pay for educational opportunities after high school.
Eddy attended Penn State University, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating, he joined Deloitte Consulting’s public sector practice, focusing on information systems strategy and implementation. He later earned an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
Eddy is passionate about wellness and leads an outdoor exercise group in Pittsburgh called Run, Jump, Lift, Throw. He is excited about increasing efforts towards wellness within the child welfare and human services workforce.
